Ndaba Thembekile Zweliyajika Mandela, born on December 23, 1982, is a multifaceted individual known as an author, mentor, spokesperson, entrepreneur, political consultant, and the grandson of the iconic Nelson Mandela. Hailing from Soweto, South Africa, Mandela is deeply committed to preserving his grandfather's legacy and introducing the revered Nelson Mandela to a new generation.

Currently serving as the co-founder and chairman of the Mandela Institute for Humanity, Ndaba is actively involved in initiatives that aim to uphold the principles and values championed by his grandfather. He is also the co-founder and chairman of the Africa Rising Foundation, and the founder of the Mandela Project, showcasing his dedication to impactful and meaningful projects.

Notably, Ndaba played a pivotal role in the Mandela Centenary in 2018, contributing to the commemoration of this significant milestone. In the realm of youth leadership, from 2014 to 2021, he served as the Vice President of the Pan-African Youth Council, now known as the Pan African Youth Parliament, collaborating closely with the African Union to address and advocate for the interests of the continent's youth.

Beyond his contributions to youth affairs, Ndaba Mandela holds the distinction of being the longest-serving global ambassador for UNAIDS, a specialised agency of the United Nations devoted to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic. This cause is deeply personal for him, as both of his parents succumbed to the disease. Ndaba's tireless efforts and diverse roles underscore his commitment to positive change and the betterment of society.
